WELCOME TO THE CAPS Project

Welcome to Community Air Pollution Sensor (CAPS)

Our mission is to spotlight air pollution as a critical health issue in urban areas, using education and technology to raise awareness and inspire communities to take action for a healthier future.

We envision clean air as the 18th SDG, recognised globally as a fundamental right. We aim to breathe new life into urban environments, empowering communities to lead healthier lives.

Overview of Workshops

These workshops are designed to provide students with the tools they need to tackle air pollution.

Almost the entire global population (99%) breathes air that exceeds WHO quality limits, posing significant health risks. London’s poor air quality contributes to 9,400 premature deaths yearly.

Air pollution doesn’t just diminish our quality of life—it stunts our children’s future, with schools, hospitals, and care homes, highlighting the critical need for change.
